Post and Telecommunications

The Chief Post Office marked "SamoaTel" in central Apia is open weekdays 0830-1630. Poste restante mail is held three weeks at a counter in the room marked "EMS Courier Post" near the post office boxes. Branch post offices exist at Matautu, Pesega, and Faleolo Airport.

The DHL Express agent is South Seas Travel Agency on Convent Street just west of the Lotemau Center. The TNT Express agent is at the Pacific Forum Line office opposite the main wharf.

Make long-distance telephone calls from the Tanaloa Call Centre in the Lotemau Center using telephone cards of S$5, S$10, and S$20.

Public card telephones have been installed at the Lotemanu Center, Fugalei Market, both airports, the universities, and other locations.

Internet Access

Computer Services Ltd. (Monday to Friday 0800-1700, Saturday 0800-1230), across the street from Air New Zealand, charges S$2 per 10 minutes for Internet access and they're fastest because the server is right there.

The Lesamoa Cyber Booth (weekdays 0800-1800, Saturday 0800-1300), in the Lotemau Center, charges the same rates. The air-conditioned office of the Samoa Observer newspaper on the waterfront offers Internet access for the same price and is seldom crowded. Several other Internet places are found around town.
